Bad mood cookies

Chocolate-chip-cookies Bad mood? Yeah, me too.

Here's how to save yourself. For tonight at least.

Pour yourself a medium glass of cold white wine. I like Bella Sera Pinot grigiot, which is light and refreshing, not to mention cheap (only about $7 a bottle), and which can be sipped all night long without ramifications in the morning.

Find something upbeat on the kitchen iPod.

Follow the recipe for Nestle's toll house cookies on the back of any bag of that brand's chocolate chips.

Allow yourself three or four (or hell, five) tablespoons of cookie dough. Make the rest into cookies.

Allow your incredulous children only one cookie, plus milk, before bedtime. They'll be so delighted you made them cookies they won't care. Promise them one more each for breakfast.

Pour another glass of wine. Check your email for any offers of work, money, or interesting sexual favors. When you find none, take a hot bath. Take a final sip of wine. Brush teeth. Check kids. Go to bed.

Repeat weekly as necessary.

Love it! I do that or bakers One Bowl brownies. I also love Bela Sera when I don’t have the time to go get the really cheap stuff (Charles Shaw).
Heres to (raising my glass of Bela Sera) a great weekend!
