Thanksgiving already? I can’t be the only one who thinks 2011 went by in a speedy blur. But here it is, in a few days, and all I know is this:
I’m not making a turkey this year.
I’m going to make a pie. Probably pumpkin. But maybe an enhanced pumpkin pie. I don’t know and I’m too frazzled to decide.
Which is where you all come in.
Below is a poll with tiny urls (I tried to do hyperlinks, but bumped up against my technical abilities. Be grateful I got a poll on this page at all). All are from established name food blogs, so please copy and paste into your browser and take a read. Then vote for the one you think I should attempt for Thanksgiving.

It won’t be easy. They’re all very worthy.

Baby girl, you must make a Blue Ribbon pie! http://www.shockinglydelicious.com/blue-ribbon-coffee-toffee-pecan-pie-from-the-pie-lady-of-malibu/
the pumpkin cheesecake is always a crowd pleaser. you should also check out paul prudhomme’s sweet potato pecan pie recipe — another great choice! and something for everyone…
Cheesecake! Cheesecake! Cheesecake!
I’ve always opted for pecan pie because I’ve never liked the texture of pumpkin pie. I voted for the first one because of the brandied whipped cream (now that would make ANY pie yummy!). But you can’t go wrong with a pumpkin cheesecake. Or, how about a pumpkin tart with a shortbread crust and a lush topping of toasted pecans and salted caramel?
Dang, Jamie! How about coming over and helping me make that bad boy? 🙂
